Think of a surface equivalent to A 100.000 football fields. Now imagine that these are the hectares of forest destroyed in Cambodia every year. More than half of this wood is harvested to produce charcoal.

The pictures show one of the many locations where forest wood in turned into charcoal. I shot these for KGC, a Cambodian Social enterprise producing sustainable alternatives to Charcoal, and opposing local deforestation.
